Dear patients of Merton Medical Practice,
We experienced a significant technical issue in the afternoon of Friday the 24th of July 2020, where we did not have access to our telephones, Internet or Clinical system. Unfortunately this meant that patients could call in, but we had no way of knowing that the phones were ringing, or any way of answering the phone.
This issue has now been rectified, and we do not anticipate that the issue will happen again in the future. We understand that this must have been very frustrating, and we apologise for any inconvenience this caused.
We are always looking at ways to improve how we deliver care and we will use this experience to improve as a practice.
We would like to use this opportunity to remind you of other ways of getting advice and care, such as using the DoctorLink app’s symptom checker to see if you need to speak to a doctor, or by the practice website to send in non-urgent requests, such as medication queries.
