Did not attend (DNA) policy

Our DNA policy states patients should inform a receptionist or use the automated prompt when calling us at 020 8545 9620 within 30 minutes of their appointment’s scheduled time, if an appointment is cancelled less than 30 minutes of the booking time it will be recorded as a Did Not Attend appointment.

For those patients that fail to attend their appointments on two occasions, a warning letter or SMS will be sent informing them of the potential consequence should they DNA again without informing the GP practice in good time. After the third DNA within a 12 month period, the patient may be invited to register with another practice, so please let us know in advance if you need to cancel an appointment by using the Accurx service.

Patients can also call the surgery at 020 8545 9620 to cancel the appointment ahead of time during the automated message’s prompt to cancel.
